Let's see. With $16k you could buy a motor cycle or a car outright, but it would depreciate year by year. Fine if you need one. Unnecessary if you don't.
Or you could put a deposit on a house or apartment, then have a mortgage, insurance, taxes, utilities etc. to pay for years and years to come. Or find others to live in the house with you and pay rent, helping you to pay the mortgage. I'd rather have a house than an apartment. I like a garden of my own, plus apartments usually come with management fees which are often extortionate compared with the service given.
You are a college student. That suggests limited income, which in turn could make getting a mortgage difficult.
I'd suggest continue to live at home for another year or two, at least until your studies are complete, and then when you have found a decent paying job, search for a suitable property.

The dyno is a lot bigger, both size and displacment. The sportster came in a 1100cc though, so that is pretty big to be considered just a womans bike. I guess thats just personal opinion.

2002 1200 custom sportster with under 11000 miles. has less than 500 on new tires. chrome everything. saddle bags and a fork bag. it has Vanes and Hines exhaust re jetted carb,windshield,gas tank bra, removable backrest with luggage rack,tach and speedo. has a couple small rock chips in front fender and a scuff on right mirror and brake reservoir. other than that shes a great looking bike sounds great and runs perfect. hate to sell it but just cant afford payments anymore for the few times I ride as I just dont have the time. min 2000 cash and trade on motor home ,nice fold down camper ,car and/or truck in the 50′s or 60′s’, would like a older goldwing in good shape too email with what you have with pics and atleast 2000 cash to pay off loan
