Custom Helmets – Honda Motorcycles has recently overtaken Harley Davidson as the largest motorcycle manufacturer in the world today. The company was founded in 1946 by Soichiro Honda. He wanted to produce vehicles that can help people get from place to place without having to purchase a large motor vehicle. The first engines used in Honda motorcycles were old army engines. The first motorcycle produced by Honda was released in 1949 and was known as the Model D for Dream. The vision Mr. Honda had of his motorcycle manufacturing company turned into reality in the decade of the 1960s when the company began reeling in the sales of motorcycles not only in the country of Japan but also all across the globe.

 

In 2006, Honda sold its 50,000,000^th Super Cub, which is one of their most popular motorcycles and in 2007, the company became the first motorcycle manufacturer to offer a motorcycle with air bag crash protection. Honda has been an innovator in the motorcycle industry since its inception in 1946 and continues to provide motorcycle enthusiasts with superb quality and excellent accessories. Aside from motorcycles, Honda also produces motorcycle accessories such as custom helmets, full face helmets, jackets, driving gloves, boots and other gear.

 

Since the company’s inception in 1946, Honda has become a staple in world of racing motorcycles and other types of bikes. Honda has entered and won the Isle of Man TT races quite a few times during its illustrious history. Freddie Spencer and Valentino Rossi are two of the most famous drivers to partner with Honda over the years. Tragedy struck the company of Honda in 1991 when its beloved founder, Soichiro Honda, passed away at the age of 85.

 

There were only six employees working in the first United States Honda storefront to be opened by the company in 1959. The store sold custom helmets along with full face helmets from day one. The store also sold motorcycles manufactured in Japan. The store was located in Los Angeles. Since then the company has expanded to all over the United States and taken over as the most popular motorcycle manufacturing company in the world.
