better cheap than none at all…
…….hoooo pah, hoooo pah
You are correct – in general carbon fiber materials are not well suited for making a spring. But to make one, you would probably use a more flexible plastic at the core, then reinforce it with carbon/epoxy.
Prosthetic limbs use carbon fiber leaf springs already.
The auto-industry is already using composite leaf springs made from fiber glass. Composite leaf springs made from carbon fibers are even lighter than the fiber glass ones, but cost more and are not as strong as the fiber glass ones.

This juvenile is starting to put adult feathers on the breast. I’d like to know how soon after fledging that’s supposed to happen. It looks like it’s got a female Flicker there. A bunch of Blue Jays were squawking at it! I thought I was going to get a shot of a Blue Jay, and up pops this guy, with a Flicker! I got a lot of photos I didn’t expect to get today, but this critter is the topper!

Well, you are right. A lot of what we are currently talking about is slightly different then what most people on here are wanting advice on. And I have walked a mile in their shoes, that’s how I can offer advice. Offering advice on things I don’t know isn’t helping anyone. You are completly right, and sometimes, we are even told to intervene and move. I pray that God does bless this board, he loved us in our darkness, and that’s amazing.
Epic comment. ; )
I guess silver would be stronger bind between the fibers, however, but I guess its just a color preference

Sweet cameo by Trevor McNevan lol
making carbon fiber stuff is very difficult. you have to get the material, make a mold, apply the resin, let it harden, and then bake it. carbon fiber isn't cheap…i just saw a program on carbon-fiber bicycle frames…whee! i was also thinking about how to start a CF business….
about the closest you can get to doing it yourself is to use fiberglass. there is a great, very long video of it being done on youtube.
I'm not sure what your talking about, but look up "magical pocky usagi" on youtube.
She's just a troll but she is a perfect example of a weeaboo.
