The Internet is full of dirt bikes for sale.  Sellers include dealers and private individuals.  People who do the research can find great deals.  Here are some of those deals.

Ebay is one of the largest online retailers.  Much of what sells there comes from individuals and various small companies.  But if you put it all together it would  be like a big company. Looking there can be a great start to a search for dirt bikes for sale.

Always know the retail price for dirt bikes for sale when looking on eBay.  It’s not hard to bid too much.  Over half the people who bid do it.  Some auction sites, including eBay, depend on people overbidding beyond the retail price more than 50% of the time.

A quick search on eBay for dirt bikes for sale returns over 7000 results.  There’s everything from new to used to all the accessories necessary for ownership.  For example one seller has a 2008 Yamaha YZ.  This bike retails for around $7,000.  But this one was only 100 miles has a current bid of $3900.  That’s where a little common sense comes into play.  Don’t bid more than $7,000 for an item like this.  And generally for something that’s not coming from a dealer, it’s best to try to get it for about half the price.  That means it’s probably already over what a wise bidder would offer.

Use Google to find dirt bikes for sale.  A search returns 378,000 links.  These include some for only $400.  That price is usually reserved for children’s models.  It’s a great hobby for young people.

If you do find some kid’s dirt bikes for sale keep in mind the need to take care and pay attention to safety.  One important thing is to wear a helmet.   Train children before they ride any dirt bike.  Don’t let them ride it without supervision.

There are other dirt bikes for sale found on Google. There’s even services and websites that allow people to list used dirt bikes for sale. Of course these include eBay but also many others.  Some sites don’t charge fees.  One benefit of many of these is that they are local to that people can come and look at the bike before purchasing it.  Personal transactions can be better.

So it’s definitely a good idea to check online for dirt bikes for sale. But look around at local dealers too.
