Before buying a new motorcycle, you should get familiar with the different brands and styles you can get on the market today. Most people think that bikes fall into three categories: street bikes, off-road bikes and dual-purpose bikes. They can be listed into other categories of course. Let’s take a look at the different bike types and categories:
Standard Bikes: These bikes came from Japan in the 1960’s. They can be a form of reliable but cheap transportation. Since sports bikes and cruisers are extremely popular these days, there is only a limited choice of standard bikes ont he market. Standard bikes, for example the Honda Nighthawk, comes with a 600 to 700 cc engine. This would be a good selections for new riders. They are well powere and well balanced, and offer a good form of transportation. Some manufacturers offer crossover bikes, like the Honda Superhawk. This motorcycle includes some of the aerodynamic and performance features of a sport bike and it is based on the Nighthawk. This bike offers almost the same as a sport bike would, only with more comfort.
Touring Bikes are made for street use only. A touring bike is built for comfort, as well as highway cruising and for longer trips. They usually are built with large engines ranging from 1,000 cc to 1,500 cc. their weight varies between 700-1000 lbs. These bikes are hard to maneuver, therefore they are not recommened for beginners. These bikes are good for long distance trave, but are recommended for experienced riders only. Trouring bikes are not meant for city travel either.
Sport Bikes: belong to a sub-category of street bikes. Sports bikes are similar to sports cars: most drivers are young, they prefer this style. Sports bikes are made for comfort, convenience and performance. Their engine ranges from 600 cc to 1,200 cc. They weight 350-500 lbs. Sports bikes offer godd brakes, tuning and even acceleration. These bikes are not meant for long trips.
Cruisers: Maybe we should have started our list with cruisers, due to their popularity among all types of riders. These are one of the most popular styles of motorcycle, so bike-makers offer a wide variaty of bikes to fit every budget and many levels of experience. They weigh 450 lbs to 1,000 lbs. A cruiser is stylish and comfortable. You can choose a model that is ideal for highway and city travel.
Dual-Purpose Bikes: Dual-Purpose bikes have knobby tires and a high center of gravity. They come with turn signals, headlights and emission control.. Because these bikes weigh upwards of 350 lbs, they are not meant to ride on rough terrain, but they are great for dirt roads and trails. They also offer the convenience of street riding. These bikes have engines ranging from 400 cc to 600 cc.
Motocross Bikes: These bikes are for off-road only use. These bikes are light-weight. They can weigh between 150 -300 lbs. Their small engine ranges between 50-500 cc. They cost much less than street bikes. Motocross bikes are great for recreational purposes but not for heavy traffic.

I’m a complete beginner and after researching, it seems that a 250cc is the perfect size for a beginner. I also don’t intend to push the bike to its limits and swift down the streets so I thought maybe an enduro bike would be good. But a 250cc engine’s sound compared to that of a 600cc is not as pleasing, plus I heard that once you get used to riding you get bored of your 250cc and I don’t want that. I thought the Ninja 250 then, but still sounds “shy”. What do you recommend?

The dealer should be able to give you a list of fees. I imagine some of that $1200 is registration/plates. Some of that is also a dealer "prep fee". You may be able to negotiate that portion of it.
If the dealer won't give you that list of fees, I would say go someplace else that will.
No matter what you are buying, or your job, you should have at least half the price of the bike as a down payment.
I have a 1200cc HD and it get 51 MPG. It has been a blessing with the high gas prices.
I’m in love

easy yet risky.. first don't fear fall and hurt and pain.. cuz u'll have to face all those at least once.. fist off shift into second gear once u're there drive on low rpm n then gun it on second gear.. u'll see a slight jump of the front whell n then pull it up a little n the motorcycle will maintain the wheelie itself.. once u have the wheelie u can go at any rpm.. but it only works on second gear to get there.. shifting on a wheelie is not the brightest idea..

China and Its People: Why is "where" important?
I was always fascinated by the unique and complex geography of China, and its minority ehtnic groups. I specialize IN the Mongols and the Lahu. My students call me Mrs. Li, but I prefer to be called Lisa. In the 15 years of my caREER, what HAS fascinateD me most is how 55 of 56 groups of people in China are looked UPON as “minority groups”? What makes them so different to the majority? And how does the Geography make them different from each other?
SINCE I lived in Beijing, Inner Mongolia was not far, so I decided to drive across Hebei and walk from there on, crossing the border of the province. I traveled during the day, and the weather was not so harsh. It was nice to travel on foot. The views were spectacular — the vast plains disappearing over the horizon; the sunset at dawn, painting the clear, dark sky with dazzling colors that take your break away. The sound of the river flowing down from the mountains was musical accompaniment to my walk. I was crossing the hills of Inner Mongolia to avoid the harsh deserts; the heat at sunrise was as cruel and deadly as the cold when night fell. Lost on the plains, I was welcomed by a man I met. I called him Mr. Gansukh, meaning steel axe. His family died; he wouldn’t tell me how or why. He lived in a yurt, a typical Mongolian house. It was made out of wood crossed together, which could be folded when necessary because they move every month or two to find fresh grassland for their herds of goats and sheep. The next layer of the yurt was plastic, which kept the rain and wind out; and then animal skin which kept the yurt warm in the freezing winter and cool in the heat of summer. The circular roof and walls also help the wind pass by without blowing the yurt away. This is one example of how the climate AFFECTS how they live. It looked like a nice, cozy place to stay for a night. Inside were little chairs and tables. Mr. Gansukh set about preparing dinner. He LIT a fire in the middle of the yurt, boiled water and dumped IN freshly chopped lamb meat and potatoes. I smelled no smoke; he had opened the opening of the yurt so that the smoke could flow right out. My drink was warm sheep milk; it is similar to milk we drink every day in the city, but more condensed. Dinner was boiled meat and potatoes with no spice. The geography and fast-changing weather made it hard to grow any crops or spices there, so they make a living herding goats or sheep. Vegetables are obtained when they travel to a nearby city, in trade for the animals they have raised. They have lots of dairy products, because they get them from the animals they herd. …..

Five children plus one on the way must at times be overwhelming for both of you. Sounds like there is a problem with your relationship and with your husband's attitude. He may well be clinically depressed and need help.
You need to talk but without getting angry and telling him what to do – he will always see that as nagging. Perhaps you might like to consider relationship counselling?
lol… i guess no one taught here that u ALWAYS get on and off of a motorcycle FROM THE LEFT. Just like a horse
