BMW motorcycles are produced by BMW Motorad, a German company that has been in this business since the early 1920s. Although the beginnings of the company are closely related to the production of aircraft, it was in 1923 that the first motorcycle was produced in a BMW factory. At present, the company has plants in Taiwan, China and Austria, besides the main Berlin factory. The models that they manufacture and produce belong to very different categories from 450cc to 1300cc. While some of these models work for touring activities, others are sports, off-road and dual purpose bikes.

BMW motorcycles have won a great reputation by winning lots of competitions and prestigious races in national and international contests. One fine example here is the Dakar Rally, organized between Europe and Africa yearly. BMW motorcycles have always participated to this race, not to mentioned that they have won six titles in this competition so far. In 2008 and 2009, BMW motorcycles were part of the Superbike World Championship with the BMW S1000RR too.

You can choose from several product categories in case you want to buy a BMW bike.

The F series have 800cc capacity, parallel-twin engines and they use either a chain or a belt drive.

The G series have a smaller cylinder capacity ranging from 450 to 650 cc. Featuring a chain drive, G series BMW motorcycles have one cylinder only. The 450cc models are manufactured in Taiwan while the 650 cc engines are produced in China.

There are two models available in the R series: R1200GS, R1200T. They all have a shaft drive, twin cylinders and 1200cc capacity.

The K series includes larger BMW motorcycles in the K series have four engines and a cylinder capacity of 1200-1300cc. These too are large models, and you can choose between K1200LT, K1200R, K1300GT, K1300S and K1300R.

Sports bikes with four inline engines and 999cc are available in the S series. This BMW motorcycles enjoy one of the highest popularity levels.

Before you purchase any type of bike, it is essential to take some drive tests. The selection criteria for BMW motorcycle should include the purpose, the riding style, the budget and the rider’s preference. You can get technical information and consultancy in any BMW dealer shop, or online.

Then, the price varies according to the category, the cylinder capacity and the overall technical design. The 450 and 650 cc BMW motorcycles are the cheapest, due mainly to the lower manufacturing costs.

BMW Motorad is the German company that has been producing BMW motorcycles since the early 20s. Although the beginnings of the company are closely related to the production of aircraft, it was in 1923 that the first motorcycle was produced in a BMW factory. Currently, they have plants in Berlin, Austria, Taiwan and China. The models that they manufacture and produce belong to very different categories from 450cc to 1300cc. Some are designed for touring activities while others correspond to sport, off-road and dual purpose applications.

BMW motorcycles have won a great reputation by winning lots of competitions and prestigious races in national and international contests. One fine example here is the Dakar Rally, organized between Europe and Africa yearly. BMW motorcycles are a constant presence of this race, winning six titles in the history of the competition. The BMW S1000RR design put BMW motorcycles among the bikes that participated in the Superbike World Championship in 2008 and 2009. Anyone who wishes to buy a BMW motorcycle can choose from several product categories.

The F series have 800cc capacity, parallel-twin engines and they use either a chain or a belt drive. The G series have a smaller cylinder capacity ranging from 450 to 650 cc. Featuring a chain drive, G series BMW motorcycles have one cylinder only. The G series is produced exclusively in Asia, with the 650cc engines made in China and the 450cc models in Taiwan.

There are two models available in the R series: R1200GS, R1200T. They all have a shaft drive, twin cylinders and 1200cc capacity. The K series includes larger BMW motorcycles with a cylinder capacity of 1200-1300 cc and four engines.

Choose those BMW motorcycles that best correspond to your riding style, your purpose, preference and individuality. You can get consultancy and technical information in any BMW dealer shop, or online.

The cylinder capacity, the category and the overall technical features are the elements that determine the price. The 450 and 650 cc BMW motorcycles are the most affordable, due mainly to the lower manufacturing costs.

One of the best mobility in a high speed of a transport vehicle is a motorcycle. But to protect yourself from a high speeding, you will need radar detector. There are many option of this radar detector, You can check some of them by visiting the particular website on motorcycle gps which lists radar and other related information.

All sports motorcycles fall into the street category. The design meets the high demands for performance, which corresponds to the way the features optimization takes place, usually at the expense of the rider’s comfort. The forefather of modern sports motorcycles was produced by Vincent Motorcycles, a company that produced bikes that reached astounding speeds back in the 50s. It was only in 1969 that Honda officially produced the first sports bike. And ever since sports motorcycles have remained the most sophisticated vehicles of all.

The first sports motorcycles produced by Honda had an in-line 4-cylinder engine, and front disk brakes, opening the door for new bike technologies. Then followed Kawasaki Z1 that fired competition among Japanese motorcycle manufacturers. At the international level, the Japanese ‘bike war’ put a stop to the expansion of the British motorcycling industry, and changed the market dominance. Japanese sports motorcycles thus became known as the best in the world, and they still maintain this reputation.

In terms of technical features, sports motorcycles require exquisite breaking and acceleration systems, high cylinder capacity, good maneuverability and great acceleration. All the incorporated systems have to be durable and stable, with ultra-high standards of performance for the breaks and the suspensions. As compared to other bike categories, sports motorcycles have larger tires necessary for large cornering speeds and greater lean angles. The aerodynamic drag that comes with speedy racing is reduced by the use of external panels and protections.

Normally, sports motorcycles have been designed for racing, and they have little practicality for street riding. They have no large windshields, center stands or saddle bags. Aerodynamics and weight distribution matter more than ergonomics and the rider’s position. The foot pegs are a lot higher on sports motorcycles because the legs closer to the body keep the body weight over the tank.

Some sports motorcycles have a small cylinder capacity while others are really large. It suffices to say that there are small engine sizes ranging between 125 cc and 400 cc and very large bikes with 1200 cc or 1300 cc capacity. Small bikes are easier to maneuver; consequently, when choosing a bike, the rider needs to estimate well his/her capacity to handle the motorcycle. Buying a 1200 cc sports bike is foolish for a beginner, because such a motorcycle is too difficult and even dangerous to ride.

50cc scooters are normally classified in the class of mopeds because of their engine capacity. Regulations differ in many countries of the world when it comes to the right to drive 50cc scooters with or without a driving license, and common terms are seldom reached. For example, in some EU countries you can ride such motorcycles without a driving license, but France and Italy are exceptions, as you need at least the car driving license to operate vehicles up to 125cc. There is quite a big level of legal ambiguity for the definition and classification of scooters.

The licensing fees and the restrictions are a lot smaller for 50cc scooters, because they are not legally considered motorcycles. Scooters are above 50cc in engine capacity, but this is not an internationally recognized classification. Some jurisdiction have created an in-between class: thus, between 50 and 150cc, they are called motorized bikes.

In other parts of the world, 50cc scooters and above, are defined as motorcycles. Hence, the terms of such a vehicle classification vary from state to state and cannot be discussed interchangeably. Consequently, when you shop for a scooter or you search for information, these details should matter, for avoiding problems.

50cc scooters are enjoyable and practical for both adults and teens, and the low fuel consume and the small design are the most convincing of the vehicle features. Sporty and sleek at the same time, such a vehicle is considered a trendy alternative to public transportation. You won’t experience the challenges of heavy traffic when you zip around with a scooter. Despite their small cylinder capacity, 50cc scooters incorporate modern four-stroke engines that increase mobility and insure a good speed rate.

50cc scooters are not so different from larger models, because manufacturers often follow common lines of design. Thus, there is an electric start mode and a kick start one, the brakes and exhaust come in a sports variants and they all have some form of storage space under the seat. Before the purchase of such a small motorcycle, you should learn something about the documents you need for warranty and registration, but do not overlook the fuel consume either. Nevertheless, the same tips hold valid for larger designs too.

Are you looking for scooters? You can visit schwinn electric scooters site which provides numerous kids electric scooters and related information you are looking for.
