If you are searching for a quality machine that will provide performance that complements your anticipations, this is a solid choice for a bike.
The Honda CBR1000 was produced as a successor to the CBR945RR, and a few parts were taken from that bike to create the CBR1000. The vast majority of the bike’s design is completely fresh compared to previous models, with a compact 998 cc inline four, new stroke and bore dimensions, and a six speed cassette type gearbox inspired by racing motorcycles. The bike also features a new ram-air system, a dual stage fuel injection system, and center up exhaust. The butterfly valve on the exhaust is computer controlled, and the chassis itself is a complete modification. The bike also features the Honda Electronic Steering Damper that increases the stability of the bike appreciably, and almost entirely removes head shake and at the same time adjusts for high and low steering.
A few years after the bike’s intro in late 2004, the Honda CBR1000 was upgraded with some slight developments providing an overall increase in power and handling with a reduction in overall weight. adjustments include a new exhaust system, a new chassis, revised front and rear suspension, a lighter swing arm, and an increased redline level (of about 12,200 revolutions per minute). A brand new version of the bike was launched at the Paris International Motorcycle Show late in 2007, for what would be the 2008 model year. This bike highlighted even further enhancements, with the red line boosted to 13,000 rpm, new head and cylinder configuration, and more.
The CBR1000 has won several awards for overall performance, including the Cycle World International Bike of the Year in 2008.
