Modular flip-up helmets were one of man's better inventions in recent years for the motorcycle enthusiast. These helmets are the convertible of helmets. You can be wearing a full face helmet one minute, then pull up to a light, flip up the front, whistle at a good looking person, say Hi to your buddy, or just cool off for a minute. It doesn't get much better than that...especially if you spend a lot of time riding and don't want to sacrifice protection for cooling ability.

Modular flip up helmets of course come in all different colors, shapes, and sizes. Most of them, if not all, carry a DOT rating, and never a SNELL rating because of the flip up front. This doesn't mean it's not safe, but I would like our customers to be aware of that. Especially if you're a crotch rocket guy who's doing wheelies, stoppies, high chairs, and all the other crazy stuff...this helmet is not for you. You need a SNELL helmet. Crazy riding needs crazy protection.
