With the popularity of sport and adventure touring at an all-time high, the advancement of the incredibly versatile modular helmet segment was a must for SHOEI engineers. Though still a respected part of our 2012 helmet lineup, the Multitec's modular design was used as a backbone, analyzed with scrupulous eyes, and tweaked ever so slightly to yield the most progressive flip-up helmet on the market today-the all-new Neotec. Boasting improved shell aerodynamics, a wider and taller field of vision, a reduction in wind noise, an internal sun shield, and a fully removable, washable and replaceable liner system, the Neotec is the next level of modular helmet design for today's hybrid motorcyclists.

I bought the Nolan N-104 from Powersport Superstore thinking it would be a decent alternative. Boy was I wrong! The Shoei is far superior in every way; finish, comfort, ease of use, etc.

Great helmet for those on-the-go.

Compared to my previous hi-viz Icon Airmada Volare and cheap-o modular HJC, this is an amazing helmet

Just took it on a 460 mile trip, great helmet, flows great air and since I wear glasses I don’t have to take the glasses to get the helmet on and off. The drop down sunvisor is the sheetz. I always wear a medium in shoei and it fit as expected. A little tight in the cheeks at first, but will break in after a 1000 miles or so and fit perfect.

A almost perfect touring helmet.

I had a Schuberth C3 for several years and I recently changed to the Shoei. In many ways its a superior helmet. Ventilation is exceptional and when helmet is above windshield level you can feel the flow of air. Shield (raising shield from closed position does require some effort) stays in place at various heights and does not drop with the wind. Free pinlock system works perfectly and you experience no fogging. Mounting an intercom system is easy (I use a Sena 20s) and it fitted perfectly on helmet. This is a very quite helmet with shield down with no noticeable wind noise and the lining wicks moisture away nicely. Only two things kept me from a 5 star rating: (1) it uses the D-ring system for chin strap and not the European ratchet system which is more difficult with gloves and (2) it does not offer different size cheek pads for fine tuning fit (There are only 2 size cheek pads with only 1 for normal size range and 1 for XXL). I find the cheek pads in my medium size helmet to fit snug. Otherwise this helmet is truly worth the purchase price.

Fits great

This is my first motorcycle and thus my first true dedicated motorcycle helmet. Therefore I do not have a reference point, but I figured that I only have 1 head so I might as well spend the extra bucks for a good helmet. I also wanted the visibility (yellow) and it also looks good. I tried them on at the motorcycle shop and then bought from Amazon.

I’ve worn my new helmet for a 120-mile excursion and love its features. Although I have to struggle to fit this helmet on my head, I was hoping for one that would more effectively deaden wind noise. But that’s what ear plugs are for.

Great fit.
